Paints and varnishes - Corrosion protection of steel structures by protective paint systems - Part 4: Types of surface and surface preparation (ISO 12944-4:2017)
This document discusses the following surface types of steel structures of non-alloy or low-alloy steel and its preparation:-uncoated surfaces. -Surfaces with thermally molded coating of zinc, aluminium and their alloys; -hot-dip galvanized surfaces; -zinc plated surfaces; -sherardised surfaces; -Surfaces with manufacturing coatings; -other coated surfaces. However no requirements for the condition of the substrate before the surface preparation lays down in this document a number of Oberflächenvorbereitungsgraden. Cold hardened and highly polished surfaces are not covered in this document.
