This document provides guidance and recommendations for the general basics of design of components that are coated by post-manufacturing hot-dip galvanising (e.g. ISO 1461) for protection against corrosion, e.g. for components manufactured in accordance with EN 1090-2. This document does not apply to hot-dip galvanizing covers applied to steel wire or tape in the continuous process (e.g. in accordance with EN 10346).
