Protective clothing for use in Snowboarding - Wrist Protectors - Requirements and test methods (ISO 20320:2020)


This document lays down the requirements and test procedures for wrist protectors with regard to ergonomics, harmlessness, comfort/size, fastening, ability to limit wrist extension and reduce the impact on the palm of the hand, as well as the requirements for marking and instructions provided by the manufacturer for all users of snowboard equipment. It does not apply to protectors used in roller sports, alpine skiing or other sports. This document does not cover the protection of the forearm against axial forces caused by a shock to the fingers or fist. In addition, this document does not cover the protection against palmarflexion (terminal flexion) caused by a shock to the dorsal side of the hand.
