Microbiology of the food chain - Preparation of test samples, initial suspension and decimal dilutions for microbiological examination - Part 3: Specific rules for the preparation of fish and fishery products (ISO 6887-3:2017 + Amd 1:2020) (consolidated version)

This document lays down rules for the preparation of samples of fish and fishery products and their dilutions for microbiological testing where the samples require preparation different from the procedures described in ISO 6887-1. ISO 6887-1 lays down the general rules for the production of initial dilution and dilutions for microbiological investigations. This document contains specific methods for sampling raw molluscs, manic animals and echinoderms from areas of primary production. This document excludes the preparation of samples for both census and detection testing procedures, which specify the preparation details of the relevant International Standards (e.B.ISO/TS 15216-1 and ISO/TS 15216-2 for the determination of hepatitis A virus and norovirus in food by real-time RT-PCR). This document is intended to be applied in conjunction with ISO 6887-1 .
