Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code) (FOREIGN STANDARD)


Specifies an alphanumeric code for classifying the degrees of protection provided by enclosures for electrical equipment rated up to 72.5 kV. It covers protection of persons against access to hazardous parts and of equipment against ingress of solid foreign objects, dust, and harmful quantities of water. Tests, access, probes and object probes and other test equipment are specified.
