This new edition of ANSI/UL 507 includes the following changes in requirements: - Revision to the Table for ôCords and appliancesö to Address Portable Fan Cord Length when a Specific Cord Type is Used. - Includes the Button Battery Requirements Reference to Horizontal Standard, UL 4200A - Instruction requirement for Lasers used in Fan Products - Moving Parts of Down-draft Fans - Addition of New Supplement to Include IEC 60335-1 Based Requirements as Option for the Evaluation of Electronic Circuits - Removal of Directly- and Indirectly-Accessible Motor Definition - Motor Capacitor Clarification - Revision to Ultraviolet Radiation Test Terminology - Clarification of the Table for ôCeiling-suspended fans from 2.1 meters (7 feet) to less than 3.05 meters (10 feet) above floorö The new and revised requirements are substantially in accordance with Proposal(s) on this subject dated January 20, 2017, January 27, 2017, August 11, 2017, and September 1, 2017.
