Paints and varnishes - Corrosion protection of steel structures by protective paint systems - Part 5: Protective paint systems (ISO 12944-5:2019)
This document describes the types of coating materials and coating systems commonly used for corrosion protection of steel structures. There is also guidance on the selection of coating systems for different environmental conditions (see ISO 12944-2), with the exception of the cx corrosivity category and the Im4 category according to ISO 12944-2 and various surface preparation levels (see ISO 12944-4), and the expected duration of protection (see ISO 12944-1).
